The New Playground

The new playground next to our place is pretty cool. With my new winter suit, I'm just the right size for the swings and slides. Mommy even let me ride on her swing with her, and Daddy gave me my first flying lesson, but he said not to tell you to look too closely at that picture, so I won't.

SUPERMAN

Uncle Johnny let me wear his new hat. (Daddy doesn't know that I'm chewing on his new wrench, and Mommy doesn't know I'm getting the grease on my new dress.)

Another Christmas Dress

Leslie Mauck got this for me. I probably got the most gawking in this outfit, especially for the headband.

Haelley's first experience at the table was interesting. She didn't know what was expected of her. The fragment of green bean that she tried only ended up on the bib, not in the tummy. In fact, she gagged on it as it sat on the tip of her tongue. Maybe we'll try again later. We'll just stick with the bib for now; it's tasty enough.

Trip to Tennessee

Daddy and Mommy took me to Tennessee 'cause Daddy went there for work. This is me and Uncle Johnny. I wanted to go swimming at the hotel, but he just wanted to gawk at my cuteness. (Photo used by permission from John W. Dineed)

Here's where Elvis lived. The locals call it Graceland. There's a lot of room inside.

Here's a swing set that his daughter Lisa Marie used. Mommy says it looks just like the one that Great Grandma used to have at her house.

Elvis had a lot of cars. I thought kings were supposed to ride in carriages. I don't think this guy has ever seen cars before 'cause he was really excited to be there.

This one's supposed to be famous or something. They call it his pink Caddy Lack. I guess he wasn't very good at golf.

We even got to ride in one. Actually, it was just a booth at a restaurant that looked like a car, but don't tell Mommy and Daddy.

My Winter Suit

Mommy got this for me at the store so I can stay warm when the wind blows. You know you're jealous!

More presents from Aunt Stacey

Thank you for the wrapping paper, . . .

. . . and the book's nice, too. Mommy and I love to read together (at least for a short time).

Presents!!!

What did Grandma send for me? I don't know yet, but it sure tastes good!

New books! I love books! And they're covered in crinkly wrapping paper--my favorite! Thanks Grandma!

This is Daddy and I a couple of weeks ago. Look what I got when Daddy was at work! Ten whole dollars--whatever those are. I'm sure it's something good, though, 'cause they came from Great Grandma and Granddad. Thank you very much!!!

Christmas Eve--Before and After

Haelley is ready to go to Great Nana and Papaw's house, new dress, tights and shoes-she couldn't be happier!

This is coming home from Great Nana and Papaw's-at 11:00pm. You can tell she had a busy day. Note the brand new hat from Great Aunt Nancy!

On the Plane!

This is our plane, flight 876 from Louisville to Phoenix, continuing on to Ontario (not Canada).

Haelley enjoyed our plane ride and relieved many fears by being quiet nearly the whole time.

She even enjoyed the complimentary peanuts, or at least the package.

Mommy Reads to Haelley

Haelley likes to read some books with Mommy. Here she's learning her alphabet.

Arizona Trip!!!

Here we are. We're at the airport ready to leave for Arizona.

Bed Time

The only thing on Mommy's mind when we get home from worship in the evening is bedtime. She barks out orders and sets off with her list of things to do. This never phases Daddy who quietly walks off with Haelley to the bedroom for playtime. Some of the greatest things happen there, where they imagine the most wonderful things ever. She even held her socks!

Halloween

Haelley's great-aunt Katherine got her her one and only Halloween outfit. She was really happy that afternoon. I love the smile!

Haelley's Quillow

Great Grandma Dineen has made "quillows" for all of her grandchildren. I was very surprised and touched when we received a quillow for her first great-grandchild as well. It is very pretty!

Bath Times

Haelley thoroughly enjoys bath time. This is a little old; she's now enjoying bathing in the tub! (Better than the sinks or the rooftop).

After drying off, Haelley sports some pretty cool `do's. Mommy doesn't appreciate them; she swiftly destroys them with the brush.

3 Month Picture

Haelley turned 3 months old on October 25th, and here is the picture that we got. She wasn't really happy at that time, but we did the best we could. Here Haelley is seen in a contemporary dress made by Misty Fink, covered by a knitted sweater by Janice Robarts. Her head is also adorned with the knitter's knittings, her first bonnet.

Haelley's Boppie

Haelley also love to relax in her "boppie" that aunt Stacey put together. She's also been browsing through that English-Spanish dictionary. I normally make her study for at least four hours every day.

Haelley's Awake Time

When she's awake, Haelley loves to lie on her back and play. She talks and laughs on occasion. Sometimes she just likes to watch football though.

Sleeping Haelley

Catch Haelley sleeping, and you have to stop and watch.

Sometimes she'll let out a little smile in her dreams!!!

MJ Haelley

Haelley is already sportin' the gear. Won't be long 'til she hits the hardwood.

Lilly and Haelley

Lilly and Haelley meet.

Cutest Haelley Picture So Far?

We're going to take a poll soon. Take note of your favorite Haelley picture. Is this the cutest so far?

Two Month Pictures

Haelley's two-month pictures are here! She'll turn three months old on Thursday this week, and we'll get some more pictures.

Sucking the Thumb

We caught Haelley sucking her thumb on her own last week, just after arriving home for the night. She was bored, waiting for us to release her.
Haelley has found her thumb on occasion. This time it lasted for a couple of minutes.
