Henry Doorly Zoo

The famous bronze lions at the zoo. You just have to get your picture with them.

She actually looked pretty comfortable, would you call her the Alpha Gorilla?

This one is for Michael. He likes the white tigers best

Haelley didn't know what to make of the porcupine. He looks so fluffy, you want to pet him, but I've heard that's highly unadvisable.
This is the only appropriate picture we got of the bear. The rest of the time he spent peeing in our faces.

I think she's had a little too much of the zoo.

This is one of those pictures that makes my heart hurt. I never knew I could love someone so much it feels as if your heart will break.

Mahoney State Park

We ate at Mahoney Lodge and then went paddle-boating. We were going to go on a horseride, but we weren't aloud to take Haelley.

Stacey and I only seem to take "sister pictures" when I'm pregnant.
For my Hubsand. Here are your girls, love you, babe.

You have no idea how long it took to get Haelley to look even remotely towards the camera.
Haelley was very excited to get on the boat but that quickly turned into anger and frustration when she discovered that swimming was not on the agenda. She tried over and over again to throw herself off the side.
She just looked like a very cute duck.
Here she is, ready to go!

On Safari

If you look closely, you can see that her tongue is sticking out. This is quickly becoming a habit.

Today we went on The Wildlife Safari (Nebraska's very own Jurassic Park). It was a lot of fun, I hadn't remembered that it even existed. There were Buffalo, Elk, Sandhill Cranes, Pronghorn Antelope, Wolves, Deer, Black Bears and Bald Eagles. The fake buffalo we are standing in front of is actual size, they were ginormous!

Now here's the real thing. They looked very hot and sleepy, but still very large.

I just couldn't get over how big their heads were. You understand why it was such a great feat for an indian brave to bring down one on his own.

This was another intriguing animal we found. She had a blast. We were only able to see one wolf, because Stinter Bint here was yelling and running around like she'd gone insane. It was twice the fun just watching her enjoy herself.

This was before we let her out of the stroller and as you can see, she wasn't so happy that she was confined.

He was beautiful!

The elk were my favorite by far, they were so close to us, not to mention HUGE!! This one walked past the car and I could've reached out to touch him.
