Jasper Escapes!
Jasper escaped (Sunday or Monday). He finally discovered how to lift his cage door, and he fluttered about for a few seconds before finding a nice place on the carpet to settle down on. Haelley showed immediate attention, so we let her go for the little guy. Surprisingly, he didn't fly away from her, just waddling with extreme caution. Finally, Haelley dealt a paralyzing blow. Jasper couldn't escape the clutches of the mighty Haelley, only able to squawk violently. Unfortunately, the crushing blow, violent squawking, and the events following are not available in this clip because the recording function is almost a second slow on the camera. Apologies for the inconveniences.

So what was the fate of the bird?
Yes, I was wondering the same thing. And wow! Miss Haelley is sure moving faster and faster!
I really do want to know what happened to the bird.
Sorry, it took me a while to get to a place with internet. Dear old Jasper is just fine, as grumpy as ever! He isn't a very nice bird (I think because he doesn't get very much attention), so he prefers to be in his cage. I don't know what possessed him to escape!
