Cute Kid

She loves to crawl in and around her car seat, it became her first head bump. She tipped it back and hit her head on the bookshelf. Mommy felt so bad!

She can very easily climb out of her walker and takes great pride in doing so. She is really good at maneuvering around in it. Constantly backing in and out of rooms and turning around in tight corners. It really looks like she is driving a car, she actually looks behind her before backing up.

Her hair is long enough that it takes a while to dry, so I've taken to drying if she is about to lay down. At first it was scary...

But then she discovered that she could sit in the sink and that was a lot of fun.

Big Girl Food

Michael was very proud of her first hamburger, so we took a picture. She did pretty well, but it wasn't her favorite thing. She loves "bean-beans," Bananas and string cheese.

And the first bite...

Hmmmm, not too bad!

Diaper Lady

As the weather has gotten warmer we have let her hang out in her diaper more often. This has become her favorite outfit. When I'm changing her diaper, she rolls over and crawls away at a gallop.

She has become a monkey wanna be. She isn't quite talented enough to climb successfully, but she sure tries!

Her favorite toys are the real thing. Give her a cell phone and a set of keys and she is set for a wonderful evening.

Hurry! grab everything off the couch before Mom stops me!

Oversized Xboxing--Coming to 2008 Beijing Olympics

This is a picture of the scene Sunday night. After watching some March Madness at the Fishers' using the projector, John decided it would be a great time to arrange a meeting between it and the Xbox. Here are the results.
The flash from the camera in the dark illuminated the whole room, so the video game is invisible in the picture. The video of the gaming experience couldn't accurately depict the life-sizeness of the ordeal, so here's the combination of the two--imagine that that video FILLS the blank wall, a 118-in screen (this record has already been surpassed today, 150 inches).

Finishing the Reroofing at the B-holds'

Much carnage and devastation was wrought in White Cloud last week. After months of delay, the old roof has been COMPLETELY removed and replaced with a new JMC roof (John- and Michael-certified). The old chimney was the only fatality in the end, which we thought was pretty good considering how many minor volunteers we had. Above, John is finishing putting down new boards because the metal flashing between the chimney and old roof didn't provide superior protection against liquid substances from the stratosphere, and the old boards were fairly saturated.

Luckily, the chimney halted before the propane tank; the chimney probably weighed in the ballpark of 273 pounds.

At a couple stages of the game, John was quite puzzled, considering how he could convey his instructions with terms that his slaves could comprehend.

Flood in White Cloud

We had a LOT of rain through the week, to the point that there were several flash floods. There was quite a lot of flooding where some friends live in White Cloud. Here are some pics.

This drive leads to a very flooded house, they had to bring in boats to rescue the man inside. He had refused to leave, even though his wife had gone into town. She didn't seem to be very glad to see him. His dog gave him a much warmer welcome! His propane tank had been swept away, they later found it laying up against the treeline.

I was very sad to see that it had flooded the old gas station, I love that place. Michael said that the water was moving as fast as a river. He went to their house this morning and said that there was considerable damage to the road.

For Grandma

I know that Grandma has been missing Haelley, so I plan to just post a ton of videos and pictures right now, not much talking. She is growing so fast, it's hard to imagine that all of you haven't seen her in so long. She is crawling pulling up to things and walking around the furniture. She babbles on and on about "mamamama," and "Babababa." Seems to be over her ear infection, but she is teething and that's been harder this time. She is working on her fifth tooth. She is a lot of fun, though very stubborn (who in the world did she get that from?)
